Makrolide

Azithromycin gilt als das sicherste Makrolid: Es hat wenige Wechselwirkungen und ist eine Option bei Kindern und Schwangeren. Indikationen von Azithromycin sind Atemwegsinfekte (u.a. auch atypische Pneumonien), urogenitale Infektionen und Enteritiden. Die Penicillin-Allergie ist eine weitere Indikation. Clarithromycin hat ein höheres Interaktionspotential als Azithromycin. Jedoch hat Clarithromycin eine hohe Evidenz bei der Eradikation von Helicobacter pylori.
